Terms of Use

Effective date: August 17, 2026 · These Terms govern your use of 101PD ("101 Professional Development"), the learning platform at 101pd.com, based in Los Angeles, California ("101PD," "we," "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a product, or using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Who may use 101PD

You must be able to form a binding contract to purchase products. Free study materials are available without an account. Some study content (for example, driver-permit preparation) may lawfully be used by minors preparing for licensure; account creation and purchases require that you are an adult or act with a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Because certificates of completion and any regulator reporting are generated from your account identity (name, and where applicable, license number), you must keep that information accurate and current. Certificates issued against inaccurate identity information may be invalid with your regulator, and we cannot correct a regulator's records for you.

3. License to use our materials

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the courses, treatises, question banks, practice exams, and other materials you access here for your own education and license preparation or continuing education. All materials are original works owned by 101PD and protected by copyright. You may not copy, scrape, share, republish, resell, or use our materials to build a competing product or to train an automated system. Watermarks and identifying marks on our documents may not be removed.

4. Honest-completion rules

Continuing-education and self-study products depend on honest completion. You agree that the person completing courses, quizzes, and final exams on your account is you; that you will not share answers, have someone else complete work in your name, or complete work in someone else's name; and that any attestations of study time you make are truthful. We may withhold or invalidate certificates, and suspend accounts, where completion integrity has been violated. Regulators may independently audit your completion.

5. Educational content only — important limits

  • Not legal, medical, clinical, financial, or professional advice. Our materials are training and test preparation. They do not create an attorney-client or any professional relationship, and they are not advice for any specific situation.
  • Practice tests are not official exams. Our practice materials for government examinations (for example, DMV knowledge tests or the USCIS civics test) are original study aids. They are not official exams, we are not affiliated with any government agency, and passing our practice materials does not guarantee passing any official examination. Question counts, passing scores, and current-officeholder answers are set by the relevant agency and change; always verify with the agency.
  • Credit eligibility is shown honestly. A regulator-recognized course displays its provider or course number. Professional training and exam-preparation offerings do not issue regulatory credit. Nothing on this site claims an approval that has not been granted.
  • Figures change. Statutes, regulations, fees, thresholds, and officeholders change. We date our materials and flag time-sensitive items, but you are responsible for verifying current requirements with the relevant agency or regulator.

6. Purchases, pricing, and refunds

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Promotional codes, when offered, apply at checkout and may be changed or withdrawn at any time for future purchases. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms — in short, paid products are fully refundable within 2 days of purchase if you have not yet passed a final exam or been issued a certificate.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: interfere with or probe the security of the site; access another user's account or data; use automated tools to extract content; misrepresent your identity or completion; or use the site in violation of law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with refund treatment per the Refund Policy.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, add, or retire content and features. If a regulator's requirements change, we may update course content accordingly. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SITE AND ALL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT YOU WILL PASS ANY EXAMINATION OR SATISFY ANY REGULATOR'S REQUIREMENTS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR MATERIALS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify 101PD against claims arising from your violation of these Terms, including completion-integrity violations and unauthorized redistribution of materials.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date; continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
